Don’t wait until we’re too old to enjoy life.
If you were in this situation: knowing we should to do big goals, but it’s easy to lose motivation due to tons of predicable-but-unavoidable-reasons, remember there are only 24 hours in a day, and don’t wait until we’re too old to enjoy life.
The more work you can get done in a day, the faster you build your business, and the faster you make money. All of this gives us time to enjoy life – not stuck behind the computer every waking hour.
In this post I would like to share my 3 hacks that keeping me from distractions and boost my productivity over years:
1. “I am Cool” in early morning.
Smile in front of minor and say “I am cool” is the way I raise up my emotion every morning.
Your emotion in the beginning of the day is very important to boost your energy and mental during the day. Because it shapes your thoughts, actions and results.
It really makes sense to pay attention to your emotion. A fresh, excited gesture such as smile tells that “I am cool, I am good, and I am ready for anything. Come on!!”
Any gesture has become the pair with your heart? I am eager to hear your sharing.
2. Airplane mode from 9am-12am & 8pm-10pm
To me, mobile phone is the kind of most-distract-but-most-need thing ever.
I live far from home and mobile phone is the fastest way my mom could reach to me.
I usually go out of office to have meeting with clients, and mobile phone is the most convenience device to keep me on track with my team.
I am keen on capturing daily-life-moment and only the camera of mobile phone allows me to catch the scences as fast as it should be.
And then, each time I hand my phone, as I said above, tons of predicable-but-unavoidable-things – Facebook, Instagram, Entertainment News attract me, waste a lot of time. It’s good that think you only spend 10 minutes per day on social media, but it’s easier said than done. (And, so bad of my gravity too).
Therefore, I decided to turn phone to airplane mode from 9am – 12am, deal closed!
9am – 12am is the most productivity time of mine in day. From 9am to 12am I do my most important tasks. Nobody can contact me during this time. My phone is off and I don’t get any notifications on computer also. You only do your best work when you are uninterrupted and focused, actually.
8pm-10pm is time for my son. To me, quality time for work is as important as one for family. I turn my phone off, to play fully with him.
3. Always with To-do-list
You may think you know this hacks, and it’s too simple. Yes it is.
Bruce Lee once said “I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times”
Mastering only one is better than just knowing one hundreds.
To-do-list with simple “1, 2, 3,…” is extremely power tools I ever know. Simply go straight to your important things, fight on them, and then give them the “long dash” over the words, breath a sign of relief. How challenge and sexy the To-do-list is.
Don’t forget to have your own blank notebook, use one page each day and keep them here, for you to re-read and review at the end of week or month.

Productivity Is A Choice
Yet, for so many of us, we do nothing or use ineffective methods and blame ourselves for being procrastinators.
But, we all have the same 24 hours a day. We all have the choice about how and where to spend our focus and energy.
It’s up to your choice.
